Barncroft Primary School
Juno, a Sprocker Spaniel, has been a beloved part of Barncroft Primary since she was just six weeks old. Living with her dog mom, Dotty, and her owner, Mrs. Jones, one of our teachers, Juno visits the school three times a week. She greets the children as they arrive, participates in classroom activities, and enjoys listening to stories read by the children. Juno also dedicates time to individual children during focused intervention sessions and loves exploring the forest on walks with them. When she needs a little downtime, you can often find her napping peacefully under the desk of the headteacher, Mrs Petipher.
Mrs. Jones recently spoke on BBC Radio Solent about the positive impact that having the wonderful Juno at our school has brought. She highlighted how Juno enhances the learning environment and fosters a sense of community among students and staff alike.
