Forest School

Forest School

Our Forest School seeks to bring children out of the classroom and into nature where they can learn, discover and experience the touch of the living world, developing in a more balanced and natural way. The benefit of outdoor learning is wide and varied: improves children’s mental health, makes them happier, boosts memory, brings about better social skills, gets children moving, improves attention, reduces stress and fatigue, prevents short sightedness, prevents allergies, teaches responsibility, promotes creativity, fosters a sense of wonder and builds confidence.

To ensure that our pupils stay warm and comfortable during Forest School. Please make sure they come prepared with:

– A warm coat
– Scarf
– Woolly hat
– Gloves
– Wellies
– Extra layers such as jogging bottoms, hoodies, vests, and even extra socks

Your co-operation in helping them dress warmly will allow them to enjoy the outdoor learning experience fully in the winter months.
