Barncroft Primary School
Our school day is organised to provide maximum time for learning across a broad and balanced curriculum.
The school day starts at 8.45 and ends at 3.15 for all children. The children come straight into school, after washing their hands, and begin learning in their classrooms. A total of learning time at Barncroft Primary is 32hrs 55 mins
Each day we have an assembly or in class reflection time where children learn about the value of the week, discover current events and festivals, celebrate and share their learning.
Playtime and lunchtime staff are trained to support children’s play. There are a wide range of activities for children to enjoy, such as skipping, reading, drawing and sports.
During lesson time, some subjects such as Maths and English are taught separately. Other subjects (Geography, History, Art, Design Technology and Computing) are taught during Topic sessions.
