Barn Owls Pre-School is situated in the grounds of Barncroft Primary school alongside the Year R classrooms. It offers a calming environment for children to investigate, explore, learn and have fun. Our welcoming and nurturing team pride themselves on developing confident children who have a love of learning.
Through first hand experiences and lots of Awe and Wonder, children will have daily opportunities to embrace a love of the natural world around them.
Barn Owls Pre-school provides a range of opportunities to encourage children to explore, think for themselves, work together and be resilient, in line with the school’s values.
We offer a teacher led setting where children have small, short structured learning sessions before having the freedom to choose where to play, how to play and who to play with. Staff model conversations and vocabulary through high quality interactions led by the children.
We offer plentiful opportunities for children to take part in risky play by visiting the school’s secure forest area and large field.
All children have the autonomy to free flow between both the inside and outside areas, no matter the weather. The outside area offers an enclosed stimulating environment with lots of resources for children to be resonsible for their own learning.
Daily opportunities to express their creativity are available through messy play, manipulative play and imaginative play. Children are able to lead their own learning with the support of knowledgeable, enthusiastic and highly skilled early years professionals. The setting is also fortunate to have a calming sensory room.
We are proud to offer a breakfast club and after school club where children will have the opportunity to engage with children of different ages.
We pride ourselves on being friendly and accessible. You are welcome to arrange a visit to meet us and have a peek! We cant wait to meet you.
