We also received a certificate for Runners Up in the school garden category.

Garden Plant Sale -

We sold a wide variety of different fruit and vegetables and raised £189.75. The money raised will go towards new garden equipment.

Harvest Festival

It was lovely to see so many parents attend to support our Harvest Assemblies.   As usual you have been very generous with your donations which have gone to the Beacon Food Bank who serve people in the local community.  Thank you very much.

Fundraising Day

A big thank you to parents for supporting their children in our  Roald Dahl dress up day and we would also like to thank all the staff and parents who brought in cakes for the Macmillan coffee morning.

The totals raised were:- For the Roald Dahl charity we will be sending £130.57 and for,   Macmillan we will be sending them £379.89. So once again thank you for all your contributions, help and support.

Leigh Park has talent

We held our own Barncroft Talent auditions and six acts were chosen to perform in front of Years 3 to 6. From this, three acts were selected for the semi-final which took part at Park Community school. It was a long but enjoyable day against lots of other talented children from various schools around Leigh Park. Although we didn't win this year, it was great fun to take part in the community event.

Aspiration Group Activities

The aim is to raise aspirations and help the children identify what they might like to do as a career.  Events have included visiting:

The Ark, an animal rescue centre for aspiring vets,

Bosmere school for potential teachers,

Alandown Motors for engineers and mechanics,

Pallant House Art Gallery, Chichester for creative artists

and coming soon... a visit to the News Centre for a budding journalist.

Plant Sale

We are very lucky to have Mrs Bailey to help Barncroft children learn how to grow plants. These plants are sold on to raise money for our school activities and our last sale in May 2016 raised an amazing £233!

Fundraising for Sports Relief and other charities

We combined fund raising for three charities in one day, Downs Syndrome Society, Brain Tumour and Sports Relief.

Sponsor a Child

We sponsor a little boy called Emmanuel, who was born in 2008 and lives in Kampala, Uganda. He  lives in Hands of Love Foundation Child Centre and as a school, we aim to raise at least £20 per month to support him.
