Anti Bullying Week 2015

The third week in November was anti-bullying week.  The theme was ‘Make a Noise about bullying’. The aim of the week was to educate and encourage children our children to make a noise about bullying, whether it’s happening to them or to someone else, face-to-face or online. 

Fundraising Day – Friday 25th September 2015

A big thank you to parents for supporting their children in our  Roald Dahl dress up day and we would also like to thank all the staff and parents who brought in cakes for the Macmillan coffee morning.
The totals raised were:-
For the Roald Dahl charity we will be sending £130.57 and for,  
Macmillan we will be sending them £379.89.

So once again thank you for all your contributions, help and support.

Science Week

We love science at Barncroft and in June 2015 we held a science week at school. There were lots of exciting activities planned for all year groups

Recording Artistes

As part of their literacy curriculum, children in year 6 recently had to create a radio advertisement.

Harvest Festival

It was lovely to see so many parents attend to support our Harvest Assemblies.   As usual you have been very generous with your donations which have gone to the Beacon Food Bank who serve people in the local community.  Thank you very much.

New Barncroft “Community” Award

I am excited to announce that we are introducing a new “Community” award to help develop children’s sense of responsibility within and outside of school.  The children at Barncroft play a big part in the community and after going out to visit local shops and other members of the community, I have heard some lovely stories about how polite and respectful our children can be.

Maths Targets Summer Term

Our maths targets this half term are all connected to Number Bonds.

Red Nose Day 2015

We raised £824.83 !!

On Friday 13th March we joined with many other schools in the country to help raise money for Red Nose Day.
